Eligibility Scenario 2:

You may qualify for the $4,000 Rebate Plus if your household meets annual gross income limits for your household size and the county in SCE’s service territory where the vehicle is registered.

  • Household Size refers to the Taxpayer and any Dependents claimed on one federal tax return. Individuals who live at the address but are not listed on the applicant’s tax return are not included in the “household size.”
  • Household Income includes all taxable and non-taxable income sources for household members over the age of 18, based on the most recent IRS tax return transcript filed within 2 years of vehicle purchase/lease. Income sources may include:
    • Wages, unemployment, workers’ comp, Social Security, SSI
    • Public assistance, veterans’ benefits, survivor benefits
    • Pensions, retirement, interest, dividends, rental income
    • Trusts, educational aid, alimony, child support
    • Outside assistance and other miscellaneous income
  • Applicants listed as a dependent for the specific tax year used by SCE for income verification will not qualify for Rebate Plus.

In the drop down, please select the timeframe in which you purchased—or plan to purchase—your vehicle (for example, Before May 29, 2026). Then enter your ZIP Code to view the program’s income limits for your household size. If your household meets the annual gross income requirements for your ZIP Code, you can begin the process to claim your rebate.
