As you shop for a vehicle, please note that a vehicle is automatically considered used or pre-owned if it has more than 7,500 miles on the odometer at the time of purchase.

For vehicles with 7,500 miles or fewer, the vehicle must have been previously registered to another owner before the Applicant purchased or leased it.

It is strongly recommended that you review a CARFAX® or other vehicle history report before purchase to help confirm that the vehicle was previously registered to another owner.

Also, if the vehicle was purchased or leased through a dealership or retailer, the sales or lease agreement must identify the vehicle as "Used." For private-party purchases, the Certificate of Title must include a completed transfer date.
